This site is used for the delivery of professional development courses on e-learning in higher education covering a range of e-learning topics. This site was established June 2010 with periodic updates being made over time.
The site is currently maintained by an academic from Monash University. It was initially developed when at the Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (formerly the Teaching and Educational Development Institute) at the University of Queensland.
Staff and their role with this site:
We aim to provide open access to our materials and to host selected open access materials from other sources on this site for the benefit of the education community.
Public online open access:
Online 'read only' guest access to select courses is available for free to the public, while others are open for self-enrolment for online activity.
See 'Accessing this site' for further details.
Monash University staff:
Face-to-face onsite workshops and associated online materials on e-learning topics are available free to all Monash University staff.
Note: Enrolment via the CEED program will mean that course attendance will be recorded on your university HR record.
Custom and focused workshops can be designed for schools and facilities by arrangement.
University of Queensland staff:
All online materials on e-learning topics continue to be available free to all University of Queensland staff. However, face-to-face onsite workshops based on the materials within this site are no longer offered free due to staff relocation (sessions can be run on a consultancy basis by arrangement). UQ staff should refer to workshops on various topics that are run via the regular university staff development program and ITS training.
If you would like us to deliver a face-to-face program on a consultancy basis we can do so by special arrangement.
We are happy to customise the delivery and program to meet your needs and budget.
Courses are available on a 'hourly/daily rate' for short sessions of a day or so, or on a longer 'program basis' for programs made up of a number courses over several days or weeks. This is an example of a three week program delivered to a group of visiting international educators.
The provision of a paper 'completion certificate' for each attendee is possible by arrangement.
